CorasWorks Project Management Solution
The one common element across all organizations is projects. Everybody has them and everybody works on them. Even though the projects may differ widely, the goal is the same—to invest in the right projects, then ensure you complete them on time and on budget.
The CorasWorks Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution for Microsoft SharePoint helps you do just that. Using the PPM, you can manage the full project lifecycle—from proposal to project completion.
In most organizations, however, there is typically more than one project. Our PPM is designed specifically to address multiple projects and to manage those projects as parts of larger groups. Sure we have all the great features to manage a single project, but we also allow you to:
- Govern the project proposal process to ensure you are investing in the right projects
- Manage, track and report against individual projects to ensure they are on time and on budget
- Group your projects into portfolios and programs and manage overall portfolio performance
- Manage resources across all your projects, portfolios, and programs.
Introducing Social PPM
So much of project management is about people and communication. To address this reality, we’ve introduced “Social PPM” as a key feature of the overall PPM solution. With social PPM, you can create online Communities for each project, portfolio, or program so your project managers, contributors, and even executives can post information, comments, questions, or just general thoughts on the project, portfolio, or program. Others can then respond. You can choose to open the Communities up to a wide audience or lock it down so only those associated with the project can access, read, and contribute.
How are you going to use PPM?
PPM is a flexible, integrated solution that can be applied to almost any discipline, from managing IT projects, to marketing campaigns, to real estate properties. Here are just a few examples of how our customers are using PPM:
- Major telecommunications company is leveraging PPM to track the entire lifecycle of an IT audit. This includes tracking the stages of the external audit team’s audit, the multiple phases of the internal IT audit remediation, and the action plan required to resolve the findings of the audit.
- Large contract manufacturing company is using PPM across multiple facilities to track and manage the full sales life cycle of its service order, from inquiry through signed contract. It’s also using PPM to manage its more complex service orders.
- Large shoe manufacturer and retailer implemented PPM to help improve the communication and collaboration with its partners and vendors around specific marketing campaigns and initiatives.
